Trendy Thursday and Friday Faves all rolled into one!!!

This week I tried to not shop at all since we will be buying a lot of back to school stuff next week. Well that didn't work but I did find a lot of items under $20!!! Next week, I will be shopping for Gray's school supplies. I LOVE school supplies shopping. When I say love, I mean giddy, cheerful feelings, excitedly skipping through the aisles, wanting to buy things I don't need...love!

Bless Grayson's heart....he will most likely just want to get what he needs and leave. Speaking of blessing hearts...I got this super cute shirt today from Lone Star Ginger Boutique that I absolutely love!!! You have to check out her stuff!!! You can find her Etsy store HERE!!

I also love the other version she has and may get that next!!!I mean that has to be my most used phrase along with oh.my.word or oh.M.gee!

Since I am featuring $20 and under fashion finds, the Bless Your Heart tank comes in at either $15 for a fitted tank or $18 for one that flows a little more at the bottom (which I got). Can't beat that!!

The next thing that I got this week was this cute, striped sheer blouse. It is so simple but I could wear it with jeans, leggings, or black pants for work! I got it for $10 at Groovy's (you can check out Groovy's site HERE). They are having a HUGE sale and it was cuteness up in there! The shirt was 70% off. I had went to get Ella TOMS (which I will get to later) and ended up with a shirt!!!

I also am in love with the tassel necklace I got on Tuesday at Francesa's (pic above)It was $16 and I will probably be wearing it a lot!!! The Kendra Scott necklace is still on my list but this will actually go with so much more!

This leopard scarf is perfect for Fall...heck, all the time!! Everyone keeps saying leopard is a neutral so I am going to embrace it! This was $12.90 at Nordstrom!

I also am loving my $8 earrings from Groovy's. They are nice, light, and simple!

Well, that's what I got this week for under $20. It was kind of fun finding such great deals!

This next thing is not under $20 but kind of goes back to the Ella-TOMS thing. This can count as my Friday FAVE!  I had planned on getting Ella some TOMS. She had wanted the glitter ones but I was apprehensive because all the pairs she has had in the past would get ruined. The toes would be tattered and the glitter would come off within a couple of weeks. I was about to buy some and then I stopped at the counter to check out the new Fall Kids' TOMS on my phone and Oh.M.Gee! They have new Glimmers which look like a similar version to the glitters that won't scuff and the glitter won't fall off. Ella wants black and I think the silver and gold will be perfect for fall and winter!! She loves how comfortable they are and how easy they are for her to put on all by herself!

 

 And let me share one more thing to add to my Friday Faves since this is a two in one post! My absolute favorite this Friday is fellowship. Fellowship with other Christian women is so important. I feel like it's a great way to grow together, share experiences, have accountability, and to learn more and have fun! Lauren and I were talking about how we would love to have fellowship with other ladies and so this past week, I hosted a bible study at my house and it was so fun!I am so thankful that we live in a country where we can freely worship our God and come together to praise Him whether it is at church or home.

Come on In!

Today I am linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals for her "Come On In" series and today it is...Kids' Rooms.

Honestly, our kids' rooms are a little of this and that. Grayson's room is up first to redo. In the move, we got rid of ALL of the furniture in his last room. I would like to get him a bedroom set now that he is older and would not destroy it...haha! We are planning on re-doing it for his birthday in September. He really wants an Alabama room so I have been scouring Pinterest for ideas. I found some super cute stuff at Pottery Barn Teen that I hope to add to his room makeover.

Here is a glimpse into his room. He told me what he wanted in it and where. Notice all of the cute boy stuff everywhere. I love being a boy mom. Before I had kids, I always wanted their rooms to look catalog, picture perfect! Now, that I have kids I just want them to feel like they have a place they call their own with their own little touches. Now remember, he will be getting a "new" room this fall so bless his heart...his rooms looks pretty bare!

As you can see it is a hodge podge of stuff and I am so excited to makeover his room while still letting him have a rubber alligator, plastic snakes, and a framed minecraft picture he made on the computer...haha!!!

Ella's room is pretty put together. I kept a lot of her stuff from the old house. I am crossing my fingers to get her a white dresser and bookshelf (shabby chic) eventually but the way she is with furniture (think Crayons on the side of a dresser) I am fine with waiting a couple of years unless I find a fabulous deal. I LOVE the shabby chic headboard my parents gave her so I am hoping to find furniture similar to that. Her comforter is Vera Bradley and I remember getting it on clearance...super score!

So that's it!!! We have been in the house for about 4 and a half months now and the kids' rooms and playroom have been on my to do list but at the same time, I like having something to "work on" because I think I would be super bored if everything was done and complete. Sum It Up Sunday!!!

Hey, y'all! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. This past weekend was pretty laid back for us which was so nice!!! We enjoyed a bday party for one of our little friends and just doing stuff around the house. Here's what we were up to!

Last Sunday, we enjoyed a donut morning at church!

 

I also got word that my new blog design was up for my counseling page (HERE). 

I could not be happier with it! Thank you so much to Teach-Pray-Love Designs!!! 

Last week, we had something planned almost every day!! One day we went to visit Aunt Cindy for lunch. She made a super healthy, clean meal. I loved every bit of it!!! Vann (my nephew) and Liv (my niece) were also over, so the kids had fun just playing out in the country. Of course, the boys just had to hold wooden snakes to take a picture. Ella was not feelin' it for pictures...

The next day, we headed to a play date with my BFF that included a little bit of shopping. Then Ella and I had to run to Dallas to pick up me and my co-counselor's planners at Swoozie's, grab some treats at Sprinkles, and visit our family jeweler. It was nice having some Mommy-Daughter time!!!

On Wednesday, I had a VBS volunteer meeting and helped Lauren out with some stuff. When I came home I found fake sleepers and also tried to make sure I met my goal of writing 2 imprisoned Christians for the week. Remember you can get information on how to do that HERE! 

We also realized what the kids' new favorite thing to do is....cut out pictures in magazines and glue it to paper. Again...the most simple things seem so fun to them!!

Thursday, we had a play date at the water park with my bff!!! The mommies may have had the most fun!!

I also posted some Throwback Thursday pictures that brought a smile to my face!! One of me and my co teachers from when we taught Kindergarten (which I miss SO much) and one of Joey and I when were dating from 10 years ago!! Feels like those were both just yesterday!

We had another play date on Friday at our pool. Then we got all of our kiddos dressed up and ready to head to Chick Fil A for our free lunch! It was so much fun and the kids loved dressing like cows!! They even moo'ed when I was ordering their food. I would ask, "Do you want chocolate milk?" And they would just mooo!

I also enjoyed waking up to these two giggling in bed!!

And to end our weekend we enjoyed a birthday party out at The Village at Fairview which was a pretty cool place, movie time, mommy time, church time, and fun with cousins!

I loved helping out in the nursery especially since it involved my sweet nephews and niece!!!

Kids kicked it old school watching Little Rascals the movie. I secretly liked watching it too!

I got a little wild and drank green tea past 8 p.m., watched Stepford Wives, caught up on reading, and made blueberry banana bread that I can't eat. Watch out now!

The kids found a cool wall at the party we were at. They kept telling me to take a picture of them so it would look like they are underwater petting fish and sharks. Haha!

It's getting intense up in here....these three were so serious playing Just Dance. I tried to dance on over and they got a little mad because I interrupted them.

This week we are so looking forward to Vacation Bible School! I am so excited! I also have work on my mind! I don't even want to think about going to work but I know I need to start planning and getting my office ready!!! So hopefully the kids will be excited to go up to school with me after VBS!!
