What I'm Loving Wednesday!!!

 

I have been online browsing a lot lately and am ready to shop!!! I feel like we have been so wrapped up with all of the house stuff, I haven't had time to do anything else!!! We have a contract on our house which is exciting but I guess I won't be super excited until we actually close because I know so much can change and happen between now and then.

 With that aside, I am ready to shop and these are some things I am loving!!!!

The first thing is something we already own but the other night when I was reading it to the kids for the first time, I realized how much I love the way it is written. It's very fresh and super cute and the kids looovvveee it!!

The next thing I absolutely think is adorable for me and for Ella!!! I think these would be great and it sounds like they last a long time. These are great year round for rain and cold weather.

I am in love with the purple ones!!! They even have some for Ella!! My kids are in the phase where they want to where rainboots at odd times so I am sure we will get our use out of them. I plan on buying a size up so they will get longer wear out of them because rain boots can be a little big and it not bother them.

The next thing I am loving' this week are these stinkin' cute TOMS and I can't wait to pick some up for jean Fridays and casual weekends!! Adorable!!!

The last thing I am loving is the Nordstrom wish list. I have been shopping there for a couple of years now but mostly for purses and jewelry and sometimes shoes but they have some amazing deals on other things. I got Grayson an Under Armour shirt there for $6.48 a couple of weeks ago. They have some great stuff, y'all! I follow two blogs of some lovely ladies that shop there.a.lot and they post great finds at pretty nice prices!  So what I do because I obviously don't buy it all at once is create a wish list and each month order a couple of things. They have free shipping online and easy return policies. Joey has even gotten on there and bought me a denim jacket that I saw on Pinterest Told Me To which is amazing!!! Goodbye, summer!! You were awesome.

As many of you are still planning play dates, hanging by the pool, and enjoying every single minute of summer...mine has already ended. When you're in education you no longer think of summer as a season but as what reminds you of when you're on break. I went back, well started my new position, last Thursday. I must admit going back August 1st kind of stinks because I would love to be with my family but it is bittersweet. Of course I would love to be with them but at the same time I am excited to start my new position and we have still been enjoying many hugs and fun activities!! Here is me on my first day!

And my office is coming along...I feel like it is so bare but I know it's not....I am just so used to having so much stuff in elementary.

So I am feeling settled and am loving it. The people I work with are so sweet and helpful and I can't wait to meet the kids!
In other news...yet again....we are selling our house. Yes, I know...it's the 3rd time and hopefully the 3rd time is a charm. It has been a crazy 2 weeks that it has been on the market and we have had multiple showings everyday, lately. We were so torn deciding between Grayhawk and Devonshire. The looks of the houses are so different as is their floor plans. If our house sells, we will be moving in with Joey's sweet family while we get a house built. It was so important to Joey to stay in Forney but we did like Rockwall, we just didn't find too much on the Heath side in our price range so we are really leaning on Devonshire. This is an idea of the house we are looking at building....its very "cottagey" but the floor plan is pretty sweet. We don't want a big yard or a much bigger house than we have now (we are never home and always on the go) but we are wanting something in a really cool neighborhood. This looks smaller from the front but has a gameroom on a second floor which is pretty nice and Lionsgate Homes are so super nice. The thought of possibly having gorgeous wood floors, granite, and all that sounds amazing!! But if we stay in our house, we will probably not try to sell again. We feel if our house won't sell in this market then it just isn't meant to be! Either way, we are blessed and content with whatever happens.

We celebrated our beautiful mothers' birthdays. Yes, two. My mom and Joey's mom have the same birthday!! We enjoyed being with each of them on their special day!

Counting Your Blessings...

I have been in hiding from the blog world....not on purpose really but I have not had the desire to blog much. Of course, I want to keep it updated because it is like my little family journal. I have enjoyed doing nothing lately and it has been Ah-mazing!!! I can't believe how long it has been since I last blogged, so let me catch you up. The fourth was fabulous. Our little family of four just hung out together and then headed to the park in Terrell for our church's outreach and fireworks. Oh, and Ella also enjoyed her 1st movie that day!! We headed to see Monster's University with "THE Nana" and Ella was a big fan of the movies!!

She's a beaut, ain't she? I know, I have A LOT of work to do to make it a cozy space that screams "Melanie Acker" and on a BUDGET ( I know I should not have said the b-word...budget). My bff picked everything out furiously while screaming its on sale showed me adorable stuff at Hobby Lobby last week and I got some pretty stinkin' cute stuff to start off with for about $20 for ALL of it...maybe less. I hope you have a great week and are counting your blessings each day. I know I struggle with looking at the "wants" sometimes instead of the blessings I have. That is something I have had a tough time with and God is just working on my heart and I am so thankful for that. So I hope to enjoy my blessings this week, my last full week before I go back to work. Yes, I go back August 1st...those darn middle school counselors...haha!
